The Fibre

Our bread contains 6.2g of fibre per 60g slice. Dietary fibre is a non-digestible carbohydrate in foods. One great benefit of fibre is that it can help promote the growth of ‘’good’’ gut bacteria, which can have various positive effects on health. Once fed with fibre, these good bacteria have shown to produce short-chain fatty acids. These short-chain fatty acids can act as an anti-inflammatory and improve digestive disorders in some people too.

Fibre has also been shown to help people lose weight. Fibre can soak up water in the intestine, increasing feelings of fullness. Along with the high levels of protein, our bread may also help you avoid snacking.

One 60g slice of bread contains the similar amount of fibre as roughly 90g of dates. That’s something to think about whilst buttering one of our slices!
